A Bit of Background
The Cleveland Mounted Police officers and horses have seen presidents inaugurated, celebrated sports championships, and made Cleveland a safer place to live, work and raise a family. We are assigned neighborhoods and situations where we are needed. Our strong connection with Cleveland law enforcement is legendary. People react differently when they see an officer on horseback.

While the City of Cleveland pays for the care of the horses, the Cleveland Mounted Police Charitable Trust and donations pay for many horse-related expenses, such as saddles, uniforms, rain gear, helmets, blankets, training and even purchasing new horses.
