Hay, purchased with monetary donations.
Your contributions are bedding and feeding our police horses. Purchased by the Cleveland Mounted Police Charitable Trust, 495 bags of bedding, 40 bags or oats, 40 bags of feed supplement, and 426 bales (13 tons) or hay were delivered to the King-Otis Stables. Neighboring Howmet Tempcraft, Inc. generously contributed equipment and time of two employees to unload and stack the delivery. Thank you!

“I’m the newest horse in the unit, I came from a nice family who lives in Massillon, Ohio. They originally hired a “Trainer” for me, but I didn’t like him and wouldn’t let anyone ride me. Then Sgt. Strother came out to look at me. At first I didn’t trust him either, but after arriving at the unit we fell in love with one another! Now Sgt. Strother is my “Daddy.” I love to follow him around and “Dance” with him. I even have let him ride me as far as E. 12th & St. Clair Ave. I hope to complete my training before he retires.”

“I am the only (male) horse in the unit that his fathered a “son” his name is “Super Bowl Surprise.” He WAS a surprise to my previous owner…(Who taught me how to “Bow for treats” and often visits me and brings carrots.) They didn’t know that my old girlfriend and I had “Mated!” (But afterwards I was gelded, oh well…) My son was born on “Super Bowl Sunday,” he’s as tall as me and lives in Russell Township. Oh, I know how to untie knots and unlatch gates as did my father and now my son. And I know when it’s… “Show Time!”
